2027 Ford Bronco Redesign and Update Plan

Exterior & Interior

Like the appearance, the inside of the Ford Bronco is rugged and influenced by the past, and it works wonderfully. Overall, it has one of the most unique cabins on the market, but the versions with the extra splash of color inside are quite spectacular.

2027 Ford Bronco Dimensions

The following features make it easy to climb on and stay put: grips lined with rubber, buttons encased in rubber, auxiliary switches mounted on top, a lockable center console bin, MOLLE strap connectors on the front seatbacks, and storage containers for the entrances and roof panels with instructions for arranging them in the cargo area, similar to a game of Tetris.

Numerous modern conveniences are available, the most prominent of which are those associated with Ford’s latest infotainment system, Sync 4, which is now standard on all Broncos and has a 12-inch touchscreen. Although we still prefer the Jeep Wrangler’s Uconnect system, Sync 4 is a great substitute that’s easy on the eyes and the brain. Unfortunately, we aren’t fans of the digital instrument cluster.

An analog-looking digital speedometer sits on the left side of the instrument cluster, but the most obnoxious component is the tachometer, a vertical bar graph displaying your RPM divided by 1,000. This wouldn’t be an issue in an automatic Bronco, but changing gears by hand is mentally exhausting, and convertible screens sometimes become distorted in direct sunlight. No amount of computer manipulation will be able to change its design. Thankfully, the Bronco Raptor features digital instruments that are more conventional.

Most obviously, the materials utilized to construct the Bronco’s cabin are of low grade. The cargo area plastics in our low-mileage test Bronco were already very rough, and the remainder of the plastic is hard and seems to be readily scratched.

Probably the more costly Bronco versions will have this problem to a greater extent. Bronco Land Rover quality is lower than what you’d get in a Wrangler or 4Runner, which was unexpected. Furthermore, it should be noted that the optional fabric top and plastic windows may not always resemble the Wrangler’s quality. 2027 Ford Bronco Review

2027 Ford Bronco Specs

Engine & Performance

With the standard 2.3-liter inline-four engine producing 275 horsepower and 315 pound-feet of torque, the car is ready to go. Even though it’s just six speeds with a crawler gear, the seven-speed manual gearbox is the standard equipment. It provides a crawl ratio of 94.75:1 with the shortest axle ratio that is currently available. However, depending on the optional axle, the crawl ratio can reach 67.8:1 with the extra-cost 10-speed automatic transmission.

2027 Ford Bronco Specs

We shall include the EPA fuel efficiency ratings for 2027 throughout this section, even though they were unavailable at the time of writing.

Their resemblance to last year’s figures is really improbable. No matter the gearbox, the 2.3-liter engine maintains its 20/21/25 mpg city/highway/combined fuel economy. Black Diamond, Badlands, and Wildtrak trim levels come standard with the Sasquatch package; nevertheless, your fuel efficiency drops to 17–18 mpg combined if you opt for this package with thick all-terrain tires. We drove 258 miles, mostly on highways, on a Black Diamond with a manual transmission and got 20 mpg.

Thanks to its 2.7-liter turbo V6, this vehicle can produce 315 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. A 10-speed automatic gearbox is required for the V6. Fuel efficiency stays at 20 mpg with ordinary tires but drops to 17 or 18 mpg with fat tires. You heard it right; the V6’s fuel economy is almost on par with that of the four-cylinder.

With the exception of Jeep, every Bronco has standard four-wheel drive. However, Ford offers different grades. The standard setup includes an electronic two-speed shift-on-the-fly gearbox with a low ratio of 2.72:1, while an extra 4A mode that manually transitions between 2H and 4H as needed is available as an optional extra.

One option is a Spaulding Performa-TraK electronic locking unit, while another is a Dana 44 rear differential with AdvanTEK devices that come as standard equipment. Dana produces the differentials.

2027 Ford Bronco Fuel Economy

Go ahead and approach the Bronco Raptor. The vehicle also has a 67.7:1 crawl ratio, locking front and rear differentials, a 10-speed automatic gearbox, a 3.0-gallon turbocharged V6 engine that generates 418 hp and 440 lb-ft of torque, and many more features.

Although it is speedy, it will not impress anybody with its anticipated 0-60 mph pace, which is in the middle of the 6-second range. Your combined fuel economy will be 15 city/16 highway/overall mpg. In a weeklong test, we got about 16 mpg, and on a highway trip of about 280 miles, we got an extra 18 mpg. 2027 Ford Bronco Review

2027 Ford Bronco Safety Features

All 2027 Ford Broncos come equipped with standard technologies including frontal collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and pedestrian recognition. Another odd feature for a convertible, but a normal one for an SUV, are side curtain airbags. In contrast to the Wrangler’s removable front doors, they have side mirrors that are integral to the vehicle’s structure.

Included in the Co-Pilot360 package—which is accessible on most trim levels—are systems for lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, and front cross-traffic alerts, among others. Adaptive cruise control is a standard feature of the High/Lux trim levels on the Outer Banks, Badlands, Heritage, Wildtrak, and Raptor.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration awarded the Bronco five stars for its protection in frontal and side collisions. Its four-star rollover score speaks for itself. It received the best possible grade of “Good” in all of its crash tests conducted by the Insurance Corporation for Highway Safety. There was a tie for second place for its front accident prevention system in events involving pedestrians and automobiles. With a “Marginal” headlight score, it was passed over for the Best Safety Pick award.

2027 Ford Bronco Release Date & Price

Dealer markups cause Bronco prices, especially the Raptor’s, to be exaggerated, therefore you should be skeptical of these estimations. All prices below include the mandatory and ridiculously expensive destination tax of $1,895, which is not included in the basic, stated MSRP.

What follows is some information on the trim levels. Both body styles are available on the same trim levels with the exception of the Raptor and Everglades, which only have four doors. Nobody should be surprised to hear that the stripped-down vintage Bronco is the base model. There are more options and features available to you with the Big Bend. In terms of ease and comfort, the Black Diamond is on par, but it comes with several extra features aimed at off-roading.

Continuing from the Big Bend, this limited-edition model is called the Heritage Edition, and it is seen below. Below, we’ll go into more detail on the Sasquatch bundle and its unique, retro-inspired look. While the Outer Banks have upgraded their equipment to be more road-oriented and luxurious, they still stick to a basic mechanical layout. The Badlands gets the greatest creature comforts out of all the rock crawlers, while being the most harsh.

Although it has many characteristics with the regular V6, the Wildtrak’s off-road trajectory is more akin to that of a quicker desert runner. The new Bronco Raptor is an even more dangerous desert runner thanks to its increased power and redesigned chassis and body.

The simplest way to describe an Everglades is as a Black Diamond with some unique characteristics added to it, like a Sasquatch package. Almost every non-Raptor trim level comes standard with a 4.7:1 ultimate driving ratio, electronic locking of the front and rear axles, 17-inch aluminum wheels (beadlock capable), 35-inch tires, a high-clearance suspension, fender flares, and the Sasquatch package.
